this bit once the files has been backed up to indicate that they have been

of backups that will not reset this archive bit, therefore not indicating to StorageGuard
that the file needs to be protected.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">á
</span>Please note that differential backups are designed to be cumulative,
only backing up everything that has changes since the last full backup. As a
result, differential backups will not change the archive bit. This means that StorageGuard
will not acknowledge files backed up through a differential process.<br>
<br>
Disaster Recovery Backup: VERITAS Backup Exec Desktop Pro and Desktop Edition
products have a feature in which a disaster recovery backup set and floppy
discs are made. The backup set made through this recovery wizard process will
not change the archive bit and therefore not decrease the amount of unprotect
files in StorageGuard.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
